Book: The 10X Rule: The Only Difference Between Success and Failure (AFF)
Grant Cardone is known has the go to expert on all things sales and closing. The book you are about to uncover is the ultimate philosophy Grant Cardone has been trying to share with the world.
You see, Grant was not always successful. And probably just like you, he wasn’t born with a silver spoon in his mouth. He has had many hardships throughout the journey of his life. However, he discovered something that not many have had the opportunity to experience, and that is what essentially inspired this work.
Book Price: $25.00 (AFF)
Who Is This Book For?
This book is essentially for anyone who is on the quest to find out the very secretes to success. Grant Cardone has been studying success and those that live it for over 25 years. And believe it or not, it doesn’t matter where you come from, or what religious beliefs you claim, or what your ethnicity is, anyone can achieve success.
Let me be up front with you, your definition of success may be different from mine, but even our difference in opinion and definition are irrelevant to what you need to know in order to achieve your definition of success.
Grant has been asked thousands of times in seminars and interviews this very question, “What is the number one quality/action/mindset that will ensure a person creates extraordinary success?” And it was this very question that nagged and fueled Grant to sit down, study, and write this book for you and me.
He (Grant) defines success in this way: “Success is the degree or measure of attaining some desired object or end.” The thing is most people don’t study success in terms of something they have done. Instead, they go at it with the focus on something they are seeking to do or achieve. Grant comes with a completely different approach with the 10X Rule.
What It Will Help You Do?
Unlike any other book of its kind, in the 10X Rule, Grant presents this main thesis: You must set targets that are 10 times what you think you want and then do 10 times what you think it will take to accomplish those targets. In other words, massive thoughts must be followed by massive actions.
You see, most books that fall under this same kind of category focus mainly on thoughts or the need for thinking BIG, but often times fail to emphasize the importance of massive action. In other words, if you are going to implement the practice and habit of thinking BIG then you must also practice the habit of taking massive action towards those BIG thoughts/dreams/goals. Where other similar books fail, the 10X Rule succeeds.
Consider this: If you have read many books about success then you would know that most of them emphasize the need to dream BIG and to come up with unreasonable ideas that inspire and create breakthroughs. For example, take the Wright Brothers who created the first airplane. Back then, the idea of being able to fly, forget being able to fly from New York to LA, just the idea of being able to fly seemed unreasonable to many. And although dreaming BIG is important, what most of those books lack is the idea that we should be just as unreasonable in our actions as we are in our ideas and thoughts.
It is that idea of “unreasonable” massive action that the 10X Rule will reveal to you.
Have you ever heard the saying, “If you shoot for the moon and miss you’ll still land among the stars?” Well, that is another way of putting the idea of the 10X Rule into perspective. You see, the 10X Rule is all about having a domination mentality. It is doing actions that are the opposite of ordinary or average.
Another way of putting the moon and stars analogy into perspective is this: Let’s say that you have a goal of earning a million dollars. Well, what Grant suggests is instead of trying to achieve a million, change your goal to a billion and shoot for that. And the reality is, you may or may not achieve a billion, but if you pursue a billion and fail or fall short, you will still end up making 10X more than you would if you attempted to obtain your original goal of a million. In other words, instead of shooting for a star, shoot for the moon, even if you miss you’ll land among the stars.
Comprehending that kind of mentality is what you will find in this book.
The Best Part
To me, the best part of this book can be found in the final chapter. However, being able to actually uncover the life changing power that is found in the final chapter cannot be found or discovered until you have completely read the book in its entirety first.
This book is a fast read, and it is entertaining enough to keep your attention all the way to the end. That is just one of the things that make Grant and his material so powerful and memorable. Grant is definitely not boring, and unlike many other authors and experts, Grant really does practice what he preaches/teaches.
What Would Make It Even Better?
Now, as for negatives, I have read many of Grant’s books and have my own opinion of his work and personality. In fact, sometimes I think he can come off as a bit rough or hardcore, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t admire him or his work.
In fact, I have only recently come across Grant and his work and already see him as a mentor of mine. I have read many of his books and have learned a great deal from him, and I will be sharing some future book reviews of some of his other work very soon.
However, in my personal opinion, I do find his chapters to be a bit too short for my liking. Now, of course, this dislike can be debatable, and perhaps his ideas and principles may not really require many words, but for me, I do believe that there could have been more stories or examples he could have shared.
How It Changed My Life
Despite my negative remarks about this book above I still enjoyed reading it and I do believe that it is worth your investment and time.
I have read many books about success, about dreaming BIG, and developing crazy and unreasonable ideas, but I have never read a book in the success category that emphasized the need for massive thoughts to be accompanied with massive actions as I found within the pages of the 10X Rule.
I believe that I have gotten the massive thoughts habit down, but I can’t believe that I have never given the idea of massive actions any thought. Discovering that idea (massive actions) has really been a life changer for me. It has already, not only changed my life, but as also changed the life of my writing business for the better. From now on, I will never have a BIG thought or idea without accompanying it with an equal size action.
I highly recommend, if you have not already done so, to get your hands on a copy of The 10X Rule: The Only Difference Between Success and Failure (AFF) and let it spark a passion and desire within you to take your massive thoughts to the next level by following them up with massive actions. There truly is no other way to achieve success!
