Book Review: Turbo Coach: A Powerful System for Achieving Breakthrough Career Success
Written by Writer and Author, William Ballard
Whether your like him or not, Brian Tracy is one of the most sought-after personal coaches of our time. He has helped transform the lives and careers of countless individuals by helping them unlock their personal secrets to greater wealth, professional success, and immeasurable happiness.
As I began to read this book, I started to think, oh no, nothing new here, I've heard all this before. However, then I realized that as I finished each section I was taking notes, creating action plans, and moving myself forward in the direction of success (especially with my writing business). The book was doing what it said - coaching me. I was taking action.
If you have never come across this stuff before you will find this to be rocket fuel for you life. If you have, it is still like diesel fuel, valuable stuff, not new but valuable.
Through this book, you can experience firsthand that incredible insight that Brian has in coaching for your own career and life. TurboCoach gives you a very large arsenal of tools and exercises to help you develop and implement your own personal strategic plan that will quickly take you as far as you want to go in your business (and yes I use a lot of what I found in this book for my writing business).
Each chapter begins with questions to ask yourself, and then ends with an application exercise that helps you put your answers to work.
You’ll learn more than you thought possible about:
TurboCoach shows you how to put all of these approaches to work for you in your writing business, and these principles work for any sort of business you may be involved in. Best of all, Brian reveals how to maximize the return on your new-found productivity by freeing up more time to spend on what really matters -- the people and activities you love (like writing).
I will give this book one negative critique and that is this: If you are new to the whole idea of reading self-help books, then I would not recommend starting this type of genre with this book. However, if you are not a beginner to this type of genre then what you will find in these pages are very resourceful and valuable.
