Sharing is Caring!

This may be one of the most controversial blog post that I will ever write.
There are many faith based circles that claim Christianity as their main core belief system (I was raised up in one). However, not all who claim Christianity as their "religion" can be right or on the right path. Why is this?
I would like to share with you my own personal story of my Divine transformation:
I was raised in an organization called "The Assemblies of God". The AG is a growing organization that believes in Holy Ghost infilling and baptizes in the titles of God (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). However, they do not preach that this is necessary for salvation and very seldom do they even preach on baptism or on the Holy Spirit at all.
This particular church did have some standards and some members followed them, but the vast majority did not. And very seldom were any of them really living Holy lives and living by their convictions. Essentially, what I got from some of the members was that if you come to church and pay your tithes than it is okay to live a sinful life outside of church.
I could not accept this type of "Christian Living". It discussed me.
In my early educational upbringing I attended a private school that was associated, or overseen by the AG church that I was a member of. So, while attending this school I was being introduced to the Biblical doctrines that the AG church believed in.
I was taught about how God was All Knowing, about the Omnipresence of God and many other Divine subjects of God. Many times they would teach and preach on how Jesus Christ was God in the flesh, but no teacher, and not even the Pastor, could answer my one simple question. I asked, "If God is all knowing and you guys believe and preach that Jesus Christ is God in the flesh (John 1:14), then how can the Son of Man (Jesus) not know His second coming (Mark 13:32)? Not one of them could give me a Theological answer and only responded to my question by saying, "That is not important and there is no need to worry about that."
I was not trying to debate with them on certain Theological doctrines, or what have you, I already believed in God (Jesus) and accepted the fact that Jesus was God in the flesh. The only thing I was seeking was to know my God (Jesus) on a deeper level.
Many services (mainly in youth services) I felt the Power and Presence of God very strongly, but never did I ever speak in tongues as it is mentioned in Acts 2:4. I had a very deep walk and relationship with God and loved Him with my whole heart, but I had never experienced the infilling of the Holy Ghost like many others described from that church.
Mind you: some claimed to have the Holy Ghost, but still lived lives that were plainly unpleasing to God. It was quite confusing to me to see such hypocrisy and blaspheme, yet they believed to be "saved" and having the Spirit of God living in them.
When I turned the age of 16 I did what a lot of Christian believers describe as "backsliding". In other words, I began to rebel. I ran away from home and ultimately turned my back on God for many reasons, mainly because I was not happy with my upbringing (talking about family here). I rebelled against my parents and my God.
I dropped out of high-school and started living the street life. However, I was never really happy with that lifestyle.
By the age of 18 I began to get my act together, finally finished school, and before I knew it I was on my way to basic training for the US Marine Corps. I spent 6 months in the military before being medically discharged and once I left the military I began working in the security industry (beginning in Mall security).
At the time I was living with my brother-in-law (now ex-brother-in-law) who was a Marine. I was living a respectful life and being a good citizen, but still something was missing.
I ended up having to move to Durant Oklahoma with my grandfather when the situation with my sister and her ex-husband began to get heated.
Now, at this time you got to keep in mind that I was raised as a "Pentecostal" Christian believer (AG upbringing). However, I had no idea what an Apostolic Christian was.
Well...while living with my grandfather, he had a caretaker that lived with him. She assisted him by doing such things as cleaning, cooking, and making sure that he took his pills. Also, mind you, I was not living the street life at this time and have just been recently discharged from the military. So, I was living my life as a respectful, professional young man, and working hard in college and at my job, yet, still something was missing.
One day, my grandpa's caretaker invited me to a local church in that area. Now, mind you, since I grew up in "Church" this was no new thing to me and I still had a relationship with God on a certain level. However, He was not in full control of my life.
So, I said yes I would go with her. At this time, due to the skills and habits that I learned in the military, I began to actively listen to what was being preached by the Pastor of this church.
What he was preaching/teaching was like nothing I had ever heard before. He was preaching the necessity of water baptism in Jesus Name and Holy Ghost infilling according to Acts 2:38. When I heard this message it was completely profound to me. I had no idea of the difference between being baptized in the Name of Jesus and being baptized in the titles (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). However, the revelation of Jesus Name baptism came to me immediately.
Still, I had no idea that this was an Apostolic Church. I knew I had to ask the Pastor of this church the question that I shared above. His response to me was simple yet profound. He said, "The reason the Son of Man (Jesus) can't know His second coming was because He was still in the flesh (man) at the time when He said this. Even though He (Jesus) was 100% God He was still 100% man and limited to what He could know while still being in the flesh (man). "
That did it for me right there! Right at that moment, I knew this Pastor was on to something that the other minister(s) of the AG church had no spiritual awareness of.
I began to spend almost every available moment that I had with this Pastor asking him millions of biblical questions that I could think of. He explained to me the difference between The Assemblies of God Pentecostalism and Apostolic Christianity. And explained to me in greater detail about the necessity for Water Baptism in Jesus Name and the Divine Infilling of the Holy Ghost with the external evidence of speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance.
I knew that I needed to be re-baptized the way the scripture says to be and so that is what I did. On December 1St I was baptized in the wonderful name of Jesus Christ and within that same month (December 31st) I was filled with the Spirit of God (Jesus) with the external evidence of speaking in a Heavenly language as the Spirit of God gave the utterance.
My Holy Ghost Infilling Experience
When I received the baptism of the Holy Ghost it was an unbelievable experience! I share this story in great detail in my book, "The True Writer's Life: Discovering the Author and Finisher of Our Faith", which is available now.
If you want to hear about this Divine experience I encourage you to get your hands on a copy of my book today!
Why I Became an Apostolic Christian Believer
When I was baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ (December 1st) and filled with His Spirit (December 31st) with the evidence of speaking in tongues, my whole life changed! I was eternally transformed! The way I viewed the World transformed, the way I felt about the World and people transformed. My heart transformed!
There was just something different about these Apostolic Christian Pentecostals in comparison with those from the AG organization or denomination. They were living Holy lives and not only living by Holy standards, but their heart followed their convictions. There was no hypocrisy (lies) or blaspheme in them! I saw no "fakeness" in them like I observed from members of the AG organization. They were walking in Truth (Jesus), living in Truth (Jesus), and breathing Truth (Jesus).
I had never witnessed such devotion to Truth, Holiness, and the Church like I witnessed with Apostolic Christians.
I knew that I had found my home!
