Who It’s For: This book is for anyone looking to get out of debt, or is looking to stay out of debt and are wanting a more biblical perspective of the subject.
What It Will Help You Do: Really want to get out of debt and never look back? Each chapter in this book gives you a step-by-step guide as to how you are to achieve your goal of being debt free. Craig gives piratical advice that can help anyone, regardless of where you are in your debt situation.
What’s Included: This book provides practical instructions to guide you in developing a plan to get out of debt and to remain out for good. Chapter by chapter, starts with encouraging you to seek God in prayer, and allowing His spirit to lead and guide you to the right decisions for your situation.
The Best Part: What you get in this book is, what Craig calls a KO Knock Out Plan to get your debt free in the fastest way possible. Of course, you will have to be intentional about making some big changes in you habits. The only way to success is through intentional practice! The first day I read this book I was amazed at the simplicity of the advice given.
If you apply everything you read in this book to your debt free plan, success in becoming debt free is inevitable. Nevertheless, don’t take my word for it, see for yourself!
What Would Make It Even Better: Usually I do not say this about books that I buy. But for what it is worth, I really would not add to anything that is mentioned in this book, or insist that something more accompany this resource. The only thing that you really need aside from this book to get out of debt is a willingness to be intentional about changing some negative habits that have kept you from being debt free, and relying on God and His Spirit to guide and help you every step of the way.
How It Changed My Life: As I stated earlier, this book is packed with common sense advice that will change your life if you let it. Allow God to help you in the areas where you are weak, and remain intentional about fixing the things that you can fix.
The dream of being debt free doesn't have to stay a dream, it can become your reality if you allow God to help you and to remain intentional about things that you know you can handle yourself.
My Recommendation: How to Get Out of Debt: A Simple Biblical Approach to Living Debt-Free is a treasure trove of valuable, actionable plans to get your finances in order from the first page of chapter one. The detailed advice of this book is not hard to manage and is as realistic as it can get. Each step is clearly laid out for you, so all you need to do is heed the advice.
