ATTENTION: Aspiring Apostolic Christian Writers- Free Blog Series Reveals...
Dear Aspiring Apostolic Christian Writers,
FINALLY there is a blog specially made and designed with you in mind! Whether or not you are new to the Apostolic Pentecostal experience or have been a part of the Apostolic Christian church for some time now. I am sure you have noticed (or will notice) there is a hyper emphasis on the importance of the preaching ministry (or the calling to the preaching ministry). And by no means am I speaking against this calling or against the importance of this ministry. I, for one, have been called to that very ministry and I am extremely passionate about it. There is nothing like being alone with God and studying is Word, and then being moved by His Word that it sparks a fire down deep within your soul to share it with a Church that needs to hear it. However, what I have observed over the years is that NOT ALL are called to this form of public ministry. But most do feel that they have been called to ministry, it is just not what is emphasized or considered the norm or common ministry outlet. That doesn't mean that they are less saved or less spiritual than those that have been called to the preaching ministry. It simply means that in some cases, and in some areas, we have misinterpreted what preaching really means. Preaching simply means to proclaim. And believe it or not, you don't have to stand behind a pulpit to be considered a preacher. Writers are preachers just the same! They are simply proclaiming the message of Jesus Christ through a different ministry outlet. To be honest with you, even though I believe in the importance and power of the preaching ministry, I believe that there is an equal or even greater power found in the writing ministry. Why do I believe this? Well, consider this: where would we be if the Disciples, Apostles, Kings, and Prophets of old didn't sit down and put pen to paper (or scroll) as they were inspired to do so by the Holy Spirit? The Apostles impacted and reached many souls through their preaching ministry, but they impacted and reached so many more souls through their writing ministry (Thank God for Peter, Paul, Luke, and John). Where would be without their writings? If you feel you have been called to the writing ministry but feel like you have no idea where to begin or where to grow in this ministry, or feel like others just don't get it... Trust me when I tell you... YOU ARE NOT ALONE! It is because of you, and others like you, that I created this blog. I created this blog as a tool and resource to help guide you down the ministry path that the Lord has called you to. |
